When Thaddeus Young missed Philadelphia’s missed Wednesday’s 108-98 loss to the Toronto Raptors for personal reasons, the Philadelphia 76ers turned to former first-round pick Daniel Orton (Orlando/2010) to take his place in the starting lineup.

The 23-year-old Orton finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block in 17 minutes of court time, and judging by the latest news out of Philly, the 76ers may have to call his number again on Friday against Milwaukee.

The Sixers announced on Thursday that Young still has not returned to the team because of personal reasons. Now, a cloud of doubt looms as to whether the veteran forward will be able to return in time to face the Bucks on Friday. If Young hasn’t returned, look for Orton to be the likely fill-in guy once again. Another alternative would be Lavoy Allen .

Philadelphia started the season off on a hot foot but have faded recently, losing four straight.
